Case studyZenWeb designed and built the Caper Studio website for a Kuala Lumpur creative studio that offers makeup, photography and wardrobe styling as separate services.
Written by Jian Tat Lee

Caper Studio is a creative studio in Kuala Lumpur, set up in 2022 and run by three sisters. One leads makeup, one photography and one wardrobe styling. They take on personal work such as bridal looks, ROM and graduation portraits, and commercial work for TV commercials, music videos, campaigns and film or drama sets.
Clients do not have to book a full package. They can pick makeup, photography or styling on its own, and the studio pulls together a wider team for bigger productions. The studio opens by appointment only, so most first conversations start on the website or WhatsApp.
They want to see bridal styles before booking a trial. The makeup page shows white wedding, Chinese traditional kua, custom and groom looks, each with a View More link.
They want a portrait session that fits the occasion. The photography page lists eight portrait types, from graduation and maternity to ROM and wedding, each with its own short brief.
Directors and brands need a crew for commercials, campaigns and music videos. The makeup and wardrobe pages keep commercial and film work apart from personal bookings.

The home page opens with a beauty close-up and the studio's line about creativity and style. It explains who runs the studio, then offers three service cards so visitors can go straight to makeup, photography or wardrobe.

The makeup page is split into tabs for bridal, commercial and personal or event work. Each style, from Chinese traditional kua to special effects for film, has its own card and a View More link to more photos.

The photography page lists every session the studio shoots: personal, professional, graduation, couple, family, maternity, ROM and wedding. Each type has a short note on how the shoot is planned, plus buttons to ask or WhatsApp.

The About page tells how the studio began in 2022 and introduces the makeup artist, photographer and wardrobe stylist who run it. Each profile covers the kind of work they do, from TV sets to weddings.

On a phone, the menu folds into one button and the service cards stack into a single column. WhatsApp buttons stay next to each style, so a bride can ask about a look without scrolling back up.

The studio's own fashion and beauty close-ups, rather than stock images.
Warm off-white, taupe and soft beige with charcoal text, so the photos carry the colour.
Clean sans-serif headings and a large lowercase caper.studio wordmark across the home page.
A studio that sells three separate skills needs a site that lets people take just one. Makeup, photography and wardrobe each get their own page, with tabs for bridal, commercial and personal work. A bride and a production house can each find their own section quickly. WhatsApp buttons beside every group suit a studio that works by appointment.
