A guide from Malaysian client cases, not a decision from Meta. We'll look at your Business Manager and tell you what is holding it up.
A verification sitting on “In review” for days is rarely a rejection. Usually Meta is waiting on one thing: a detail that doesn’t line up, a document it can’t read, or a reply you didn’t know it wanted. The checker tells you which, using the timelines and causes from our guide to a Meta business verification stuck on pending, built from the accounts the ZenWeb team clears for Malaysian advertisers.
The short video below shows the verification screens inside Business Manager.
1. How do you use the Meta business verification checker?
Quick Answer: Read the exact status wording in Security Center, then answer the Meta business verification checker’s four questions. You get a verdict, the normal wait for your path and numbered fix steps, so you know whether to wait, fix or escalate.
- Pick the message you see. Only “In review”, a details mismatch, a rejected document, a domain or phone request, a security review, or a login lockout.
- Choose your path. Document, domain or email, or phone. Not sure? It uses the document timeline.
- Count working days. Monday to Friday, from your last submission.
- Say if you resubmitted. A fix and resubmit restarts the clock with a longer window.
Can’t open Security Center at all? That is a login problem. Sort out a 2FA lockout in Ads Manager first, because you can’t finish verification from an account you can’t fully reach.
2. What does your verification result mean?
Quick Answer: Every case is in one of three situations: still in the queue, quietly waiting on you, or escalated and slow. The checker names yours, so you do the one thing that moves the review instead of resubmitting and losing your place.
- Wait it out. You are inside the normal window. Check your Support Inbox every day or two.
- Fix it now, then resubmit once. Meta has named the problem. Fix that detail, reply in the Support Inbox, submit once.
- Act now: it has stalled. No message, but past the usual time. Match your details to your SSM record and upload one clean document.
- Escalate to Meta support. Past the window after a resubmit, or about three weeks in. Stop submitting and reach a person.
- Fix your login first. Two-factor login is blocking you.
Unlike a Facebook ad rejected for policy, verification sits at account level, so the whole account waits.
Key takeaway: One clean submission after a real fix beats several quick retries, because each new submission pushes you back in the queue.
Verification holding up a campaign launch?
We clear verification blocks for Malaysian advertisers every week.

Quick Answer: A clean domain or email match can clear in minutes to a day, and phone verification within two days. A document review usually takes 2 to 5 working days, or 5 to 10 after a fix and resubmit. Escalated cases run 1 to 3 weeks. Past your window with no movement, it has stalled.
The checker’s windows come from this table. Times are typical, not guaranteed by Meta:
| Verification path | Typical time to clear |
|---|---|
| Domain or email match (clean) | Minutes to 1 day |
| Phone verification | Same day to 2 days |
| Document review (clean documents) | 2 to 5 working days |
| Document review (after a fix and resubmit) | 5 to 10 working days |
| Stuck and escalated to support | 1 to 3 weeks |

Reviews are also getting slower. In the accounts we track, average document-review time rose from 2.4 working days in Q1 2024 to 5.2 in Q1 2026, so getting it right first time matters more. The same wait-then-act rule applies to a Facebook ad stuck in review.
4. Why does Meta business verification get stuck?
Quick Answer: Mostly because your Business Info doesn’t match your documents line for line. In the stuck cases we track, mismatched details cause 38% and unclear or wrong documents another 24%. Both are fixed on your side.
| Root cause | Share of stuck cases | What to do |
|---|---|---|
| Details don’t match the document | 38% | Same legal name spelling, same “Sdn Bhd” or “Enterprise”, same address format as your SSM registration |
| Document unclear, cropped or wrong type | 24% | A full-page scan of an SSM document, bank statement or utility bill from the last 12 months |
| Domain or phone not confirmed | 18% | Verify your domain: it is the fastest path |
| Identity or security review | 12% | A manual check that often needs a person at Meta |
| Duplicate or conflicting Business Manager | 8% | Read the exact Security Center message before changing anything |

1. Is this Meta business verification checker connected to my account?
No. It never asks for your login and reads nothing from Meta. It compares your answers with typical ZenWeb client cases, so treat the result as a guide, not Meta's decision.
2. Can I still run ads while verification is stuck?
Often partly. Basic ad features may keep working, but verification gates higher spend limits, some audiences, and lead or developer access.
3. Someone offered to speed up my verification. Should I pay?
No. Anyone outside Meta asking for your documents, codes or login details to fast-track you is a scam. Stay inside official Meta screens.
4. Is business verification the same as the Meta Verified badge?
No. Business verification confirms your company for ad and account features. The Meta Verified badge is a separate application, covered in our guide to a Meta Verified application pending.
