Case studyZenWeb designed and built the Jasmine Tan & Co. website, a one-page English site for a firm of advocates and solicitors in Kuala Lumpur.
Written by Jian Tat Lee

Jasmine Tan & Co. is a firm of advocates and solicitors in Kuala Lumpur, registered with the Malaysian Bar. It acts for individual and corporate clients. Its work falls into three practice areas. These are general civil litigation, real estate conveyancing for property in Peninsular Malaysia, and general matters such as probate, letters of administration and will writing.
Its civil litigation work covers contract disputes, debt recovery, land disputes, matrimonial proceedings and commercial conflicts. Meetings at its office are by appointment, on weekdays. The firm first looks at the nature of a case and the documents involved, then provides a quotation before any work begins.
Many people are unsure whether they need a lawyer at all. The FAQ explains when it helps to speak to one and how to book a consultation.
They want to know what a conveyancing lawyer handles. The site lists the firm's conveyancing work, from compliance before and after a transfer to landlord and tenant matters.
Families dealing with a death, or planning ahead, may need probate, letters of administration or a will. The site names these services and explains how to get in touch.

The page opens with a photo of a wood-panelled library and a Get in Touch button. A short About Our Firm section follows, explaining that the firm acts for both individual and corporate clients.

The practice areas section gives each area its own block. Each block says what the work covers, so a visitor can see quickly whether the firm handles their kind of matter.

The FAQ answers four questions people often have before they contact a firm. It covers whether they need a lawyer, how to book a consultation, how fees are worked out and how to get a quotation.

On a phone, the library photo and Get in Touch button fill the first screen. The practice areas stack into short blocks that are easy to read one at a time.

A wood-panelled library with tall bookshelves, for a quiet and traditional feel.
Libre Baskerville serif headings with Jost body text, formal but easy to read.
Deep brown and muted rose tones, with soft blush section backgrounds.
People looking for a lawyer usually want to know two things first: does this firm handle my kind of matter, and how do I start. One page with the practice areas, an FAQ on fees and a contact form answers both without extra clicks. The calm, restrained styling suits a firm that presents itself in a factual way.
