Why most digital marketing agencies fail at water filter marketing.
Water filtration looks like a simple home product until you price it. One enquiry can be worth RM 1,800 once or RM 7,000 across six years. Our SEO agency page explains the methodology.
One lead, two very different values
An outright undersink RO unit lands between RM 1,200 and RM 3,500 installed. The same household on rental pays roughly RM 59 to RM 129 a month, and a six-year tenure carries RM 4,200 to RM 9,000 plus service visits. Bid to the outright price and you starve the plan that actually pays.
Health claims are regulated speech
"Removes toxins", "improves blood circulation", or anything pointing at a named disease drags a water filter ad into Medicine Advertisements Board territory, and the Ministry of Health has acted on ionised water marketing before. The safe pitch is filtration performance and certification, stated plainly.
The buyer arrives with a shortlist
Malaysian households rarely search "water filter" cold. They search a brand against a brand, then a price, then a review. Roughly six in ten commercial-intent queries we track carry a brand name or the word compare. Without a comparison page, that comparison happens on a competitor's site.
Demand follows the water cuts
Enquiries do not arrive evenly. Supply disruptions and dry-spell advisories push outdoor filter searches 20% above the annual average within days, while festive upgrades lift indoor purifiers in January and February. Campaigns that ignore the calendar overpay in quiet months.
