Case studyZenWeb designed and built the DB Green Energy website for a Johor Bahru solar company that supplies, installs and maintains solar panel systems.
Written by Jian Tat Lee

DB Green Energy Sdn. Bhd. is a renewable energy start-up based in Johor Bahru. It supplies and installs solar panel systems for homes and commercial properties. It covers the work end to end: site assessment and energy consultation, system design, installation, then integration and maintenance. Its panels come from its supplier, Renshine Solar.
Its product range centres on perovskite solar technology. It includes building-integrated photovoltaics (BIPV) for roofs and curtain walls, solar roof tiles, colourful BIPV modules and double-glass modules. The company aims to make solar more affordable and accessible across southern Malaysia.
They want to know whether solar suits their roof and budget, and what happens after installation. The site sets out a three-step process from site assessment to maintenance, with a free consultation button.
Businesses look at larger systems and building-integrated options. The Products page separates commercial and residential products, including BIPV roofs and curtain walls.
Some customers want to see what perovskite panels can do at scale. The Our Work page shows reference projects built with the supplier's technology.

The home page leads with a wide photo of solar panels and wind turbines, with buttons for a free consultation and the product range. It then walks through the three-step process, the three core services and the supplier partnership.

The About page introduces the company as a Johor-based start-up and sets out its mission, vision and values. It then covers the end-to-end service, from consultation to maintenance, and the reasons customers choose it.

The Products page groups the solar range into commercial and residential, with tags such as BIPV and industry and commerce. Each product has a short description and its own details page.

The Our Work page shows projects in China built with the supplier's perovskite technology, such as carports, sunrooms, curtain walls and power stations. Each has a short write-up of what was installed.

On a phone, the menu collapses into one icon and the WhatsApp chat button stays in the corner. Service and product cards stack into a single scroll, with the consultation button near the top.

Wide landscape shots of solar farms and wind turbines, plus an image for each solar module.
Deep navy with a sunny yellow accent, a natural fit for a solar brand.
Modern sans-serif fonts (Plus Jakarta Sans and Inter) for a clean, technical look.
Solar is a large purchase, and most buyers start with questions about their roof, the cost and what happens after installation. The site answers in that order: a short process, the services, then the products. A consultation button on every page fits how solar is really sold, through a site visit rather than an online checkout.
